Transporting its guests to a faraway place of regal elegance… our design employed traditional Chinese materials and modern detail, combining a sense of history with a fresh and contemporary approach to the interior design.
The oval main dining room features a back-lit feature ceiling, hand-painted with traditional Chinoiserie patterns in parchment, ivory and gold, but the main event is a collection of dramatically scaled, custom vases, using traditional Oriental patterns, commissioned in sparkling Italian glass mosaic tiles.
Chinese lanterns are reinterpreted in blown glass and suspended with braided silk cords and tassels. Silk clad walls are framed with traditional timber lattice panels and a sunken dining area features a custom wine room. An outdoor garden atmosphere was created within the sunken dining space with a fritted glass sky-light and hand-painted, gilded wallpaper.
Private dining rooms are accessed by a double story foyer clad in stacked slate and bronze mirror panels with an elegant grand stair with lattice railing.
